Medical Brigade Update

By Barb Hollo

Greetings from warm and sunny Honduras. Our team experienced another very busy day, with long lines of people waiting for us upon our arrival. We continue to be amazed at the strength of these people. They share with us some of their stories which are tragic, but they continue to show us their faith and share their smiles.

The construction group poured another concrete floor for a very grateful and excited family (see picture of new cement floor and proud father with son). Pharmacy, dental, and medical continued to be busy. We gave to the neediest families the quilts we brought (see picture of old man with quilt). We were blessed to have a line of people out the door waiting for evangelism (see picture). We continue to extract teeth and examine patients with dogs, chickens, and whatever other of God’s creatures decides to pay us a visit!

Most of us agree that the children really win our hearts. Their enthusiasm and bright smiles serve us by energizing us.

We hope all of our families and friends back home are doing well. We love you and miss you and thank you for helping make all of this possible.

God’s blessing to all of you.

Construction Brigade Update

By Gerry Werth

We put on a second coat of varnish on seven doors, a second coat of joint compound on the drywall, two guys finished the plumbing job, and have the hot and cold water all hooked up, and several of us then went start sanding book shelves. There are about 15 to get done, and we sanded and put the first coat of varnish on three of them. Two men also worked at sanding and putting the second coat of varnish on about 450 lineal feet of door trim. Tired and sore muscles.
